When picking up, please bring a cooler

Eggs and roasters need to stay cold on the ride home. The USDA’s Kitchen Companion food safety handbook says the same:

“Pack your meat, poultry, seafood, and eggs in a cooler for the drive home.”

When you get home, put eggs in the fridge and roasters in the freezer right away. USDA says perishables should be put away within 2 hours, or within 1 hour when it’s above 90°F.
